The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a U.S. copyright law that protects content creators. If your copyrighted work appears on our website without permission, you can request its removal.

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on our site infringes your copyright, follow these steps:

Step 1: Identify the Content

Locate the specific content that infringes your copyright. Note the exact URL(s).

Step 2: Prepare Your Notice

Your DMCA notice must include all required information (see below).

Step 3: Send Your Notice

Email your complete notice to our DMCA Agent (contact details below).

Step 4: We Review & Act

We’ll review within 24-48 hours and remove valid infringing content.

Required Information for DMCA Notice

Your notice must include:

  1. Your Contact Information:
    • Full legal name
    • Mailing address
    • Phone number
    • Email address
  2. Description of Copyrighted Work:
    • What content is copyrighted
    • Where the original work can be found
    • Proof of ownership (if available)
  3. Location of Infringing Content:
    • Exact URL(s) of the infringing material
    • Specific description of where to find it
  4. Good Faith Statement:
    “I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
  5. Accuracy Statement:
    “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.”
  6. Signature:
    • Physical or electronic signature
    • Typed name if electronic
⚠️ Warning: Filing a false DMCA notice may have legal consequences. Only file if you genuinely believe your copyright has been infringed.

What Happens After You File

  • Review: We review your notice within 24-48 hours
  • Action: If valid, we remove or disable access to the content
  • Notification: We notify the user who posted the content
  • Counter-Notice: The user may file a counter-notice (see below)

Counter-Notification Process

If your content was removed and you believe it was done in error, you can file a counter-notice.

Counter-Notice Requirements

  1. Your name, address, phone number, and email
  2. Identification of the removed content and its previous location
  3. Statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed by mistake
  4. Statement consenting to federal court jurisdiction
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

What Happens Next

  • We send your counter-notice to the original complainant
  • If they don’t file a lawsuit within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content
  • If they file a lawsuit, the matter is between you and them

Repeat Infringer Policy

We will terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights. After multiple valid DMCA notices, we may:

  • Suspend the user’s account
  • Remove all of their content
  • Permanently ban them from the platform

Misrepresentation

Under U.S. law (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that content is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney fees.
